Harris County Municipal Utility District 249 now has five Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies to keep District residents safe. The HCMUD 249 Board of Directors voted to hire two additional deputies for the District in March.

While Harris County MUD 249 continues to keep monthly water rates as low as possible, residents of the district will see an increase in their water bill totals after April 1, 2019. The district is subject to groundwater surcharges imposed by the North Harris County Regional Water Authority.
Residents of Harris County MUD 249 may have seen crews planting saplings throughout the district in mid-February. The planting is part of the district’s ongoing efforts to maintain the area’s natural beauty and continue supporting Spring’s history as a forested part of East Texas and part of the lumber industry, said HCMUD 249 Director Norman Adamek.
